Why all plants need fertilizers.
Before considering what fertilizers a plant may require, it is important to consider the soil in which a plant is growing. Each soil type has its own mix of nutritional ingredients. In some cases, the nutrients have been used up over time, or are not naturally there to begin with. Gardeners, must replenish, replace, or help release those elements that are no longer available to our plants.
Too much fertilizer can damage and
even kill your plants. It is possible to overfeed your plants. Before using any fertilizer, it’s wise to have your soil tested so you can select the type and formula that suits your plants’ needs. This will let plants show more blooms, lusher greens, produce more fruits and vegetables.
